Operating since 2024, with both previous iterations sold out, Jarred Up festival is coming back to Sheffield in October of 2026! Once again, the shows will be taking place at the Sidney & Matilda, across all three of their stages.
This is a good moment to remind you that “Jarred Up is [still!] more than just a festival – it’s a whole movement. The organisation runs a record label with various artists from Sheffield, aiming to promote their music, a work-in-progress magazine, and a history of community-based open mic events and shows under the name The Arts Lab. Everyone can find their voice and society with Jarred Up.”
Since then, Jarred Up have already made quite the impression, racking up many favourable reviews. Ollie Haggart writes about the experience of attending a Jarred Up festival: “Everywhere you look there are people together, in a working or just drinking-copious-beers-and-pissing-about sense. Jarred Up, once again, encapsulate what it is to be a music fan in Sheffield – and oh boy does it feel GOOD!”.
The Far Out Magazine further complimented the show: “Jarred Up have been putting on events in there for years, and this year the festival felt like their biggest offering yet. The line-up was flooded with quality, as bands such as Do Nothing, Life and Our Girl were all set to play. Even with quite big names, the day felt incredibly grounded, as people were there, ready to experience new music and celebrate the exciting DIY scene across the UK, which continues to expand exponentially.”
Having already confirmed a line-up of various artists of various genres such as Scalers, Home Counties, Karma Sheen, YAANG, Midnight Rodeo and Brain Lightning, Jarred up have made their latest announcement of new artists to join.
The second release of sets to perform include a Coventry-based indie band, FEET, “whose sharp songwriting, offbeat lyricism and infectious live energy have made them one of the UK’s most distinctive guitar bands.” Joined by Brighton-based noise rock outfit SLAG, we can expect to see a blend of post-punk, grunge and alternative rock to sway the crowds. Vieira & The Silvers will be bringing their psychedelic rock’n’roll to the line-up, followed by Tradwife “whose energetic and unpredictable live shows have quickly marked them out as one of the most exciting emerging acts on the scene”.
The founder of Jarred Up (Jamie Wilkins) speaks out about the event: “When creating the line-up for the festival each year, it is so fun to see what combination of underground
bands we can cook up! This year we have gone for a more electronic headliner while still maintaining the Jarred Up vibe you know and love. As always, we will have the Jingle Jangle Jungle stage featuring
Midnight Rodeo, Vieira & The Silvers and more, alongside a hard-hitting basement line-up, with Yaang headlining that stage.”
With an already impressive, mixed and varied line-up, Jarred Up are yet to announce more acts joining the stages of Sydney & Matilda across their social media platforms and official website: Jarred Up. If you’d like to keep up with their latest news, it might be worth heading over to check their sites.
Super Early Bird and Early Bird tickets have already completely sold out, but Tier 1 tickets still remain available to purchase through the Jarred Up HQ website for just £30. Make sure to grab a ticket white they’re still there!
