Fontaines D.C frontman Grian Chatten announces exciting new album and string of intimate shows.
Released on the 30th of June via Partisan Records, Grian will release his debut solo album ‘Chaos For the Fly’. To promote the album, Grian will be doing a string of intimate in-store shows around England during June and July this year.
The dates for the shows are:
30th JUNE 2023 / UK / Bristol / Rough Trade Bristol (Instore) – DETAILS
2 JUL 2023 / UK / Manchester / Night & Day (Piccadilly outstore) – DETAILS
4 JUL 2023 / UK / Brighton / Resident (instore) – DETAILS
5 JUL 2023 / UK / London / Rough Trade East (instore) – DETAILS
The announcement follows the release of his current single, “Fairlies” which is now available on all streaming platforms. Grian recalls writing “Fairlies” in “intense heat partly in Jerez, Spain and partly in LA a few days before the Fontaines D.C tour kicked off. It was a quick write, and I believe I celebrated each line with a beer.”
What a way to celebrate what will be an incredible release cementing Grian’s way as a soloist on top of his other Fontaines D.C achievements.

About ‘Chaos For The Fly’:
“I was walking along Stoney Beach at night and it came to me on the waves,” recalls Chatten. “I just stood there and looked at them and I heard the whole f”*king thing. Every part of it, from the chord progressions to the string arrangements.”
Album tracklisting:

All Of The People
East Coast Bed
Salt Throwers Off A Truck

Over the nine tracks in the album, ‘Chaos of the Fly’ takes the listener on an emotional journey of the highs and the lows that come with life. “Yes, some are painful, but in giving shape and form to them making the voices come alive, Chatten has created something with its unique beauty. A place that you will not only want to visit once but over and over again.”
It’s been a hectic but rewarding twelve months for Fontaines D.C, earning countless awards for their music such as a Brit award, nomination for ‘Best Rock Album’ at the Grammys, and being nominated for both the Mercury Music Prize and Ireland’s Choice Music Prize.
Grab your tickets and set your alarms for the 30th of June, if “Fairlies’” is anything to go by, “Chaos for the Fly” will be one of the biggest albums of the year.
