The ever-talented David Shurr is back with a new single entitled “Heaven”.
30 minutes of instrumental bliss begin, with an incredibly catchy bass and various instruments and sound effects, before Shurr’s vocals take us on a varied narrative, “the air we breathe is just enough” and “all we need is a common love”.
There are a few welcoming crescendos throughout, each slotting into perfect place. The music video features a “montage-style lyrical accompaniment using self-recorded footage from friends and fans alike. This helps to enhance the theme of connectivity throughout I think.
Shurr states he feels the song is “lyrically relevant to the current socio-political climate of my generation”.
