Let me introduce you to one of the greatest artists I know, Ed Harris. Based in North Carolina he held a guitar in his hand for the first time at the age of five. He is a trained multi-instrumentalist and over thirty years ago he discovered his passion for the Celtic Music. Now he has released his eighth album and again he has managed to pack the full range of his skills into it and he has every reason to be proud of this album.
Turas Ceilteach is a solo project literally..
Instrumentals, vocals, recording and mixing, mastering and the cover art, all is done by Ed himself and everything is perfectly done.
Ed Harris is one of the most diverse artists I know and I am sure that you will share my enthusiasm after listening to the album.
13 fantastic songs full of passion and in everyone you can hear the love of music.
Let me introduce you to some of these brilliant pieces:
Crowley’s -Johnny D’s, an Instrumental where you can hear the full range of Ed’s skills, it is thrilling and makes us listen breathlessly.
Two Island Swans, a wonderful sad Lovesong crowned by the fantastic full-bodied voice.
If you where thrilled about the first song listen to Tiarna Mhuigheo, a mind-blowing instrumental song.
One Summer’s Morning, another great instrumental song, you can literally feel the summer breeze.
Dolan’s: is a rousing instrumental in traditional style and it is difficult to sit still while listening.
Glory Feel, The Heathery Cruach: Also an instrumental song that shows everything Ed can do with the instruments he plays.
Blue Diamond Mine: a quite song about working all life, thoughtful and with a great choir.
Galway girl: my all time favorite song, the sound and rhythm alone put me in a good mood, makes me wanna dance and I never get over it.
Now that you’ve heard some songs I’m sure you can’t wait to hear the full album and you won’t be disappointed. It’s the kind of music you can listen to over and over again without ever getting bored. An album for dreaming, dancing and thinking. It makes me want to see the artist live and above all to hear him.
It is a masterpiece of good music that includes everything, fantastic instrumentals, a voice that is incomparable and the full range of masterly played instruments.
