2025’s February 14th wasn’t just a day for the couples – it was also a milestone for Berlin-based duo DJ Heartstring (aka. The Cupid’s of Clubland).
With the release of their new EP, ‘You are the Sun, I am the Sky’ and a main feature in MixMag, where better to mark the occasion than London’s iconic Roundhouse?
The atmosphere felt more like a celebration of love and happiness than your typical rave, but that’s exactly what Jonas and Leo do best.
Beneath oversized red hippie hearts, the crowd was full of energy, completely locked into the duo’s high-speed, euphoric sound. They put together a two-hour set that included almost all of their tracks, celebrating their journey in the music scene so far.
London’s historic ‘Roundhouse’ was the ideal venue for this occasion, with house legend Carl Cox playing there only 4 months before – proof that DJ Heartstring are definitely heading in the right direction.
The night was also an opportunity to drop tracks off their brand new EP, featuring four songs: Emotional Overload, Last Time Under Purple Skies, Stay Awake, and Green Wide Eyes – a personal favourite of mine which is mixed with the iconic Bizarre Inc. ‘I’m gonna get you’.
‘Cant Stop The Night’ is arguably their greatest track and was proven to be an absolute floor filler as everyone in the crowd were bouncing and echoing the lines “Baby say my name”.
Another original DJ Heartstring anthem, ‘It Ain’t Over’, brought the night to a close, finishing the same way it started…completely euphoric.
Over on Instagram, DJ Heartstring thanked their guests stating,
“our special Valentine’s Day show last Friday at a sold-out roundhouse felt like a dream. Thank you so much to everyone who was there, we can’t stress enough how much your support means to us”.
With a sold-out Roundhouse show, a major EP release, and a cover feature in MixMag, it’s hard to imagine a better Valentine’s Day for DJ Heartstring.
Their ability to merge nostalgic Eurodance euphoria with the momentum of modern techno sets them apart, and if this show was anything to go by, they’re only getting started.
