Drug Dealer -Mike Riley
“Drug Dealer” is a country and folk fan’s heaven of a song (aka yours truly).
The simple yet calming production, the effortless storytelling that forms your own version of a “s****y one store town” and how hopeless and despondent it can be when everyone around you seems to know what they are doing; a rulebook to life you don’t seem to have obtained. As melancholic as it is, the track doesn’t stray into “poor me” territory due to how sensitively the subject matter is handled, “even the drug dealers here will tell you times are tough”.
I haven’t stopped listening to this song since I reviewed it, and I know you’ll feel the same!
