Rising country artist Kassidy Kiernan unveils her powerful new single, ‘More Than Your Midnight.’
A bold and empowering follow-up to her debut release, ‘Whiskey Off Your Lips’. After earning early momentum with regional radio support and growing traction across streaming platforms and social media, Kiernan continues to carve out her place as one of the UK’s most compelling new voices in country music.
From Lancashire, UK, Kiernan’s connection to country music began long before she fully understood it. Early influences came from unexpected places, including Hannah Montana and Cars, alongside annual trips to Florida where she was immersed in the sounds and storytelling traditions of the genre. That early exposure sparked a deep appreciation for country music’s emotional honesty – a quality that would later define her artistry.
As her musical identity developed, Kiernan found inspiration in storytelling-driven artists such as Bruce Springsteen, whose ability to paint vivid, real-life narratives through song left a lasting impression. This influence naturally led her toward songwriting, with a clear intention: to tell stories that feel real, evoke emotion, and connect with people.
With a growing fanbase and a clear artistic vision, Kassidy Kiernan is quickly establishing herself as a fresh and fearless voice in modern country music.
‘More Than Your Midnight’ is beautifully rooted in raw honesty and quiet strength. It confronts the frustrations of modern dating culture – situationships, mixed signals, and the feeling of being hidden rather than chosen.
“This song is all about that moment when you realise your worth and choose yourself instead of accepting less than you deserve, I’m so excited for it to finally be out there.“ Kiernan says.
Written in collaboration with Gary Quinn, the track emerged from an unfiltered and deeply personal writing session, drawing on real-life experiences and conversations. The result is a song that resonates with anyone who has ever settled for less, then found the strength to demand more. The production, handled by Tom Auton in Cardiff, is intentionally stripped back yet impactful, allowing the weight of the lyrics to take centre stage. Kiernan’s vocals are the focus of the track, supported by bluesy guitars, an echo of steel and subtle drums.
‘More Than Your Midnight’ is out on all major streaming platforms now.
