“It has been an absolute joy finding my voice as ttwig, and I am so thrilled to let this body of work out into
the wild. I truly hope it resonates with you in some way, shape, form or color.” ttwig.
While ttwig is the psych/indie outlet, the artist also continues to release music under JUICEB☮X, a project that has earned recognition on Spotify playlists including AlternaRap and Modern Psychedelia.
Beyond solo work, they are one-half of Figmore, whose debut album was named one of the Top R&B Albums of 2021 by NPR and received airplay on KEXP, KCRW, Ebro in the Morning, Soulection Radio, and more.
ttwig’s most recent release ‘Hang Ten Colors to Catch the Sun’ is a transformative escape and blends genres and influences throughout.
Beginning with the fully instrumental track ‘Catch the Wave’, listeners are immediately hit with a collection of sounds, quite literally making you feel as if you are crashing amongst the waves.
The albums stand out track ‘I Wanna Be a Dog’ blends these immersive sounds with the artists vocals that offer a hint of influence from other artists such as Rex Orange Country and Dr. Dog.

It’s clear within the music that the artist doesn’t prescribe to a genre, and how having such a broad interest in music can allow this exploration into new sounds. When asked about their musical influences, ttwig says “Everyone from Bob Marley to A Tribe Called Quest to Radiohead to Coldplay to Sublime to NaS’” This range of genres and artistry pay off, and allows for a sense of unpredictability in each of the albums tracks whilst also maintaining the same transcendent feel to each one.
This collection of work is a complete immersive experience, that feels like an exploration into new sounds and unfamiliar sonic territory, simultaneously carrying the artists influences with it. ‘Hang Ten Colors to Catch the Sun’ is definitely a worthy listen if you want to get lost and escape into a submersive soundscape that ttwig offers listeners.
‘Hang Ten Colors to Catch the Sun’ & ‘I Wanna Be A Dog’ are out now on all major streaming services!
