Oranj Son return with the release of their latest single,Sliding Doors, this September. Produced by Chris Taylor (Blossoms, The Coral, Miles Kane.) From the industrial paradise of Ellesmere Port to the vibrant pulse of Liverpool, Oranj Son conjure a rich sonic landscape where guitars and synthesisers collide in ethereal harmony.
Kieran Linford’s haunting vocals and shimmering guitar melodies float atop Kat Viveiros’ deep, resonant bass and evocative vocal harmonies. JJ Massey’s synths weave delicate threads of timelessness into the band’s wall of sound, while Heather McNulty’s nuanced percussion breathes life into every beat. Together, they create immersive soundscapes that drift between introspective calm and soaring intensity, inviting listeners to lose themselves in waves of ecstasy.
Having performed recently in Japan, they’ve released a string of singles and EPs which have gained international airplay featuring on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio Merseyside.

Their newest offering is a euphoric alt-rock banger that feels suspended between the tangible and the dreamlike, weaving shimmering guitars, airy synths, and understated percussion into an atmosphere that’s both intimate and expansive.
The production leans into space and subtle textures, giving the song a weightless quality that draws the listener in without ever overwhelming. At its heart are vocals that carry a haunting fragility — tender and unforced, they linger in the air like half-remembered confessions, inviting you to lean closer.
Lyrically, the song captures the quiet drama of choice and timing, its reflections unfolding with a subtlety that mirrors the cinematic imagery of its title. What makes Sliding Doors so compelling is its restraint; it never pushes for grandeur, instead allowing its ethereal layers and emotional undertones to shimmer and breathe. The result is a track that resonates deeply, staying with you long after it fades.
