Manchester’s passion for music has echoed the streets with art installations, trails & murals, we visited the ‘Cathedral of Sound’ in St Peters Square.
This art work by Lazerian showcased a series of donated guitars in this immersive installation. (The work will be front & centre in St Peters Square until the 20th of July, then moving to Mayfield Park until the 31st of August.)
If you listen carefully you can hear the faint sound of strings…

Vendors were selling Mancunian themed art work as well as Oasis themed prints. To the left of the seating area / large guitar were several art pieces also for sale, these were fabulous pieces each with memorable and iconic artists/ musicians on.
The music themes continued this time with something very topical…
The iconic singers are back in their ‘home turf’, Oasis will play Manchester until the 20th of July then moving on to their other tour dates including Wembley.
We were fortunate enough to check out the official merch stall selling t-shirts, hoodies & official memorabilia just outside the Library!

This included Oasis X Adidas shirts for £45 ! You can buy them from the Adidas website here.

In the heart of the Northern Quarter the fun continued, a sea of crowds waiting for the buses to Heaton Park.
Are you one of the lucky ones being part of Mancunian history?
