Stephanie Meincke makes her Debut E.P ‘ Never Not Thinking’ out on the 14th of March.

For many young people, it doesn’t take much to go from daydreams to panic. The reality of 2025 has changed drastically compared to previous generations. (Before smartphones, endless doomscrolling, social media with cute dog videos and influencers, Netflix marathons) and long before intelligent digital algorithms were ready to steal a little piece of our time and attention.

We’re bombarded with content, trying to engaged take a stance on everything, while the snowball of chaos keeps growing & filling our heads, but are we even taking a stance on anything at all?

“In my opinion, we’re in an epidemic of overthinking. I’m far from the only one who gets overwhelmed by small things that get blown up to become unmanageably big. Our brains are working overtime 24/7, and I wrote these songs to face the music –as a humble attempt to deal with my own mental clutter, the news stream, and a hardcore reality that I feel we as a society are far too passive and uncritical about.”

That’s how Stephanie Meincke describes ‘Never Not Thinking’. The EP debut introduces a new voice in Nordic music, freely unfolding across folk, country, soul, and indie. (Genres that embody the authenticity the songwriter seeks in her lyrics, making Stephanie Meincke’s music an instant relief for a worn-out mind.)

She herself is anything but worn out; a talented, reckless dreamer on a somewhat different journey of her own, addressed on the EP’s lead single, ‘Full-Time Driver’.

“Sometimes I feel like a ghost driver, driving in circles on a racetrack while everyone I know and care about is going in the opposite direction, having kids, and getting married. If you’re a reckless dreamer like me, your path is inevitably full of bumps, and sometimes it seemslike you’re going nowhere. But the truth is, your route constantlychanges and shows new ways. That’s what ‘Full-Time Driver’ is a reminder of-the small but significant goals, experiences, and moments that inspire to do so much more.”
