Stanleys are a UK indie band creating melodic guitar music rooted in strong, collaborative songwriting and lived-in storytelling. All four members contribute to the songwriting, combining their individual influences and experiences into a cohesive sound. Frontman Tom Concannon delivers the vocals with warmth and clarity, while Jake Dorsman (guitar), Harry Ivory (bass), and Rob Hilton (drums and backing vocals) underpin the music with tight, dynamic musicianship.
On the 20th of February the band released their new single Pass the Time. It’s the band’s first release in over a year and marks a clear shift in sound. Built around Harry Ivory’s powerful bass groove, the track leans into a heavier, more forceful energy than their previous material, signalling a confident new chapter rather than a simple return.
Guitarist Jake Dorsman explains the thinking behind the new release: “Sometimes you have to take one step backwards to take two steps forward. This is exactly what we’ve done over the last few months; after a really successful summer we felt like we needed our next release to be even more impactful.”
